Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher in RF Acoustic MEMS

CANNANO is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher in the specialized fields of RF Acoustic MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) and BioMEMS. This position offers a unique opportunity for well-qualified and highly motivated researchers who have a profound interest and experience in MEMS technology, specifically in piezoelectric MEMS acoustic resonators and filters, as well as the heterogeneous integration of MEMS for a variety of applications.

Overview of the Position

The Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher will play a pivotal role in advancing CANNANO's research initiatives within a dynamic and innovative industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise and a proven background in several key areas, including but not limited to:

RF MEMS Technologies: Experience with Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW), Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW), Temperature Compensated Surface Acoustic Wave (TC SAW), and Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators (FBAR).
DNA MEMS Applications: Proficiency in developing microarray chips, DNA biosensors, lab-on-a-chip systems, DNA sequencing chips, and microfluidic PCR devices.
TPMS MEMS: Knowledge in gas pressure measurement MEMS technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, optimization, fabrication, and characterization of MEMS devices, operating within a clean room environment for nanofabrication processes. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of various nanofabrication techniques and technologies.

Required Expertise

To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess strong skills and experience in the following areas:

Nanofabrication Techniques

Lithography: Proficient in photolithography and other lithographic techniques essential for defining microstructures on substrates.
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD): Skilled in the application of PVD methods for thin film deposition, crucial for MEMS fabrication.
Sputtering: Experience with sputtering techniques for material deposition, particularly metals and dielectrics.
Wet Etching: Knowledge of wet etching processes for pattern transfer and material removal.

Characterization Techniques

Candidates are expected to be adept in various characterization methods, including:

Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM): For high-resolution imaging of micro and nanostructures.
Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM): To analyze thin samples at atomic resolution.
Photoluminescence Spectroscopy: For investigating optical properties of materials.
Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM): To map surface topography at the nanoscale.
X-Ray Diffraction (XRD): For crystallographic analysis of materials.
X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS): To analyze surface chemistry and elemental composition.

Software Proficiency

The successful candidate must also be proficient in one or more of the following simulation and design software:
