The Yeungnam University Scholarship 2027 offers international students an opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in South Korea with tuition support and a monthly living allowance. Available through the Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul (PSPS), the General Scholarship is linked to admission for the Spring 2027 intake.

The scholarship covers tuition for four semesters, waives the admission fee, and provides KRW 1,000,000 per month for 12 months. However, students should plan carefully because the monthly allowance does not cover the entire two-year programme. Living expenses for the remaining semesters, health insurance, and other additional costs must be budgeted separately.

If you are interested in public policy, international development, leadership, or environmental governance, here is what you need to know about the scholarship, eligible programmes, application requirements, and deadlines.

What Does the Yeungnam University Scholarship 2027 Cover?

The PSPS General Scholarship supports international students admitted to an eligible full-time master’s programme at Yeungnam University in South Korea.

The main benefits include:

  • Tuition coverage: Tuition fees for four semesters of the master’s programme.
  • Monthly living allowance: KRW 1,000,000 for 12 months, from March 2027 to February 2028.
  • Admission fee waiver: The admission fee is waived for admitted students.

Although the scholarship provides substantial financial support, it is important to understand its limitations. The master’s programme lasts 24 months, but the monthly allowance is available for only one year. Students must arrange funding for living expenses during the remaining semesters.

Health insurance and other additional charges are also separate. The published scholarship package does not guarantee free accommodation or cover airfare. Dormitory assistance should not be interpreted as a promise of free housing.

Students must maintain satisfactory academic performance to retain the scholarship benefits. According to the stated conditions, students who receive a GPA below 3.0 out of 4.5 or an F in any course must pay 30% of the following semester’s tuition.

Available Master’s Programmes at Yeungnam University

The Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul offers three main study areas under its scholarship programme. Applicants should select a degree that matches their academic background and long-term career plans.

1. Saemaul and International Development

Available degrees include the Master of Saemaul Development Studies, MA in Saemaul International Development, and Master of Public Policy and Saemaul.

These programmes may suit students interested in community development, international cooperation, poverty reduction, and development initiatives.

2. Public Policy and Leadership

Degree options include the MA in Development Economics, Master of Public Policy, and Master of Public Policy in Economic Development.

This area is relevant to applicants planning careers in government, policy research, economic development, public administration, or international organisations.

3. Forest and Environmental Policy

Available options include the Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science.

Students interested in forestry, environmental governance, agriculture, and sustainable development may find this study area relevant. Applicants from other academic disciplines can also be considered, although related undergraduate studies and sustainability experience may strengthen an application.
